Robert T. ANDERSON has been appointed Oneida Indian Nation Visiting Professor of Law for the 2019-2020 academic year to teach the courses American Indian Law and Natural Resources Law in the Fall Term. Anderson is Professor of Law and the Director of the Native American Law Center at the University of Washington School of Law.

David J. BARRON has been appointed The Honorable S. William Green Visiting Professor of Public Law for the 2019-2020 academic year. Barron will co-teach, with Professor Archon Fung, the seminar Public Problems: Advice, Strategy and Analysis in the Fall Term. Barron is United States Circuit Judge for the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit.

Arnulf BECKER LORCA has been appointed Henry J. Steiner Visiting Professor in Human Rights for the 2019-2020 academic year to teach the seminar International Law and Human Rights in an Era of Inequality: Views from the Global South in the Fall Term and the course Human Rights and Social Justice: Comparative Legal Institutions in the Spring Term. Becker Lorca is Lecturer in the Legal Studies Program at Brandeis University.

Jose Maria BENEYTO has been appointed Visiting Professor of Law for the Winter Term 2020 to teach the course Europe and World Order: Comparative Constitutionalism, Trade, Foreign Policy. Beneyto is Professor of European Law, International Law and International Relations at San Pablo CEU University.

Jamie BOYLE has been appointed Visiting Professor of Law for the Fall Term 2019. Boyle will teach the reading group Law and Literature: Utopia and Dystopia and the course Torts. Boyle is William Neal Reynolds Professor of Law at Duke Law School.

Ruth CALDERON has been appointed Caroline Zelaznik Gruss and Joseph S. Gruss Visiting Professor in Talmudic Civil Law for the Fall Term 2019. Calderon will teach the reading group Reading Talmudic Stories and the seminars Law and Narrative in the Talmud and To Politics and Beyond. Calderon is a former member of Knesset for Yesh Atid in Israel.

Anthony CASEY has been appointed Robert Braucher Visiting Professor of Law for the Spring Term 2020. Casey will teach the reading group Artificial Intelligence and a section of the course Corporations. Casey is Professor of Law at the University of Chicago Law School.

Sarah Rudolph COLE has been appointed Visiting Professor of Law for the Fall Term 2019 to teach the reading group Issues in Arbitration and Law and a section of the course Torts. Cole is the John W. Bricker Professor of Law at the Ohio State University Moritz College of Law.

Daniel R. COQUILLETTE has been appointed Charles Warren Visiting Professor of American Legal History for the 2019-2020 academic year, and will teach the seminar Legal History: American Legal Education in the Spring Term. Coquillette is the J. Donald Monan, S.J., University Professor at Boston College School of Law. Coquillette is also the Director of the Harvard Law School History Project and Reporter for the Committee on Rules of Practice and Procedure for the Judicial Conference of the United States.

Mandy DeFILIPPO has been appointed Steven and Maureen Klinsky Visiting Professor of Practice for Leadership and Progress for the Fall Term 2019 to teach the reading group Leading from the Middle. DeFilippo is the Managing Director and Global Head of BU Risk Management in the Fixed Income Division at Morgan Stanley.

Erin DELANEY has been appointed Sullivan & Cromwell Visiting Professor of Law for the Spring Term 2020 to teach the reading group Brexit and the British Constitution and the course Constitutional Law. Delaney is Professor of Law and Associate Dean of Faculty and Research at Northwestern Pritzker School of Law.

Bala DHARAN has been appointed Robert B. and Candice J. Haas Visiting Professor in Corporate Finance Law for the 2019-2020 academic year to teach the courses Introduction to Finance Concepts in the Fall Term, Introduction to Accounting in the Fall and Spring Terms, and the course Business Valuation and Analysis in the Spring Term. Dharan is the J. Howard Creekmore Professor of Management Emeritus at the Jones Graduate School of Management at Rice University and the Managing Director at the Berkeley Research Group, LLC.

James DWYER has been appointed Visiting Professor of Law for the Fall Term 2019 to teach the seminar Children’s Rights and the course Family Law. Dwyer is the Arthur B. Hanson Professor of Law at the William & Mary School of Law.

Emmanuel GAILLARD has been appointed Visiting Professor of Law for the Fall Term 2019 to co-teach, with Yas Banifatemi, the course International Investment Arbitration. Gaillard is Global Head of Disputes Group at Shearman & Sterling LLC, Professor of Law at L’École de Droit de Sciences Po, and Visiting Professor of Law at Yale Law School.

Tom GINSBURG has been appointed Visiting Professor of Law and John Harvey Gregory Lecturer on World Organization for the Spring Term 2020 to teach the seminar Comparative Constitutional Design and the course Comparative Legal Institutions. Ginsburg is Leo Spitz Professor of International Law, Ludwig and Hilde Wolf Research Scholar, and Professor of Political Science at the University of Chicago Law School.

Robert W. GORDON has been appointed Visiting Professor of Law for the Winter Term 2020 to teach the course Legal Profession. Gordon is Professor of Law at Stanford University.

Daniel HEMEL has been appointed Austin Wakeman Scott Visiting Professor of Law for the Fall Term 2019 to teach the reading group Nonprofit Policy and Practice and a section of the course Torts. Hemel is Assistant Professor of Law at the University of Chicago Law School.

Elena KAGAN has been appointed Archibald Cox Visiting Professor of Law for the Fall Term 2019 to teach the reading group The Supreme Court’s 2018 Term. Kagan is Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States and was Dean of Harvard Law School, 2003–2009.

James KRASKA has been appointed Visiting Professor of Law and John Harvey Gregory Lecturer on World Organization for the Spring Term 2020 to teach the course The International Law of the Sea. Kraska is Charles H. Stockton Professor of International Maritime Law at the U.S. Naval War College.

Sanford V. LEVINSON has been appointed Visiting Professor of Law for the Fall Term 2019 to teach the reading group Monuments and Memorialization. Levinson will also co-teach, with Professor Larry Lessig, the reading group Seccession and Reconstruction. Levinson is the W. St. John Garwood and W. St. John Garwood, Jr. Centennial Chair in Law at the University of Texas at Austin School of Law and a Professor of Government at the University of Texas at Austin.

Goodwin LIU has been appointed The Honorable S. William Green Visiting Professor of Public Law for the Fall Term 2019 to teach the seminar Contemporary Issues in Constitutional Law. Liu is Associate Justice of the California Supreme Court.

Catharine A. MacKINNON has been appointed James Barr Ames Visiting Professor of Law for the 2019-2020 academic year to teach the seminar Sexual Harassment: the Law, the Politics, the Movement and the course Sex Equality, both in the Fall Term. MacKinnon is the Elizabeth A. Long Professor of Law at the University of Michigan and has been the James Barr Ames Visiting Professor of Law at Harvard Law School since 2009.

Justin MARCEAU has been appointed Visiting Professor of Law for the Spring Term 2020 to teach the courses Animal Law and Criminal Procedure: Investigations. Marceau is the Animal Legal Defense Fund Professor of Law at the University of Denver Sturm College of Law.

Jane McADAM has been appointed Visiting Professor of Law for the Fall Term 2019 to teach the reading group Climate Change, Displacement and the Law. McAdam is Scientia Professor of Law at the University of New South Wales.

Tim McCORMACK has been appointed Visiting Professor of Law for the Winter Term 2020 to teach the course International Criminal Law. McCormack is Professor of Law and Dean of the Faculty of Law at the University of Tasmania, as well as Special Adviser on International Humanitarian Law to the Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court in The Hague.

Troy McKENZIE has been appointed Ropes & Gray Visiting Professor of Law for the Fall Term 2019 to teach a section of the course Civil Procedure and the reading group The Supreme Court–from Docket to Doctrine. McKenzie is Professor of Law at the New York University School of Law.

Daniel MEDWED has been appointed Visiting Professor of Law for the 2019-2020 academic year. Medwed will teach a section of the course Evidence and the course Wrongful Convictions and Post-Conviction Remedies in the Fall Term, and a section of the course Criminal Law in the Spring Term. Medwed is University Distinguished Professor of Law and Criminal Justice at the Northeastern University School of Law.

Jens MEIERHENRICH has been appointed Visiting Professor of Law for the Winter Term 2020. Meierhenrich will co-teach, with Professor Mark Tushnet, the course The Rule of Law: A Global History. Meierhenrich is Associate Professor of International Relations at the London School of Economics and Political Science.

Katherine MEYER has been appointed Visiting Assistant Clinical Professor of Law for the 2019-2020 academic year. Meyer is Founder and Partner at Meyer Glitzenstein & Eubanks, LLP.

Peter L. MURRAY has been appointed Visiting Professor of Law for the Fall Term 2019 to teach the course Evidence. Murray is Of Counsel at Murray Plumb, and Murray in Portland, ME.

Peter ONUF has been appointed Visiting Professor of Law for the Spring Term 2020 to co-teach, with Professor Gordon-Reed, the seminar Constitutions, Law, and Empire. Onuf is Senior Research Fellow at the Robert H. Smith International Center for Jefferson Studies at the Thomas Jefferson Foundation (Monticello).

James PENNER has been appointed Visiting Professor of Law for the Fall Term 2019 to teach the seminar Property Theory. Penner is Kwa Geok Choo Professor of Property Law at the National University of Singapore.

Mark RIENZI has been appointed Visiting Professor of Law for the Fall Term 2019 to co-teach, with Professor Mary Ann Glendon, the seminar Religious Freedom Research. Rienzi is Professor of Law at The Catholic University of America Columbus School of Law.

Peter J. RUBIN has been appointed Visiting Professor of Law for the 2019-2020 academic year to teach sections of Evidence in both the Fall and Spring Terms. Rubin is Associate Justice of the Massachusetts Appeals Court.

András SAJÓ has been appointed Visiting Professor of Law for the Fall Term 2019 to teach the course Comparative Constitutional Law. Sajó is a former Judge and Vice President of the European Court of Human Rights.

James E. SALZMAN has been appointed Jeremiah Smith, Jr. Visiting Professor of Law  for the Winter Term 2020 to teach the course Water Law. Salzman is the Donald Bren Distinguished Professor of Environmental Law at the University of California, Los Angeles School of Law and the University of California, Santa Barbara School of Environmental Science and Management.

Philippe SANDS has been appointed Samuel LLM ’55, SJD ’59 and Judith Pisar Visiting Professor of Law for the Winter Term 2020 to teach the course Nuremberg — Law, The Individual and the Group. Sands is Professor of Law at the University College of London.

Ben SAUL has been appointed Visiting Professor of Law for the Fall Term 2019 to teach the reading group Law of the Jungle? Can Insurgents and Terrorists Make and Enforce “Law” or Provide “Justice”? and the course International Counterterrorism Law. Saul is Challis Chair of International Law at the University of Sydney.

Jocelyn SIMONSON has been appointed Visiting Professor of Law for the Fall Term 2019. Simonson will teach the reading group Contesting the Carceral State and the course Criminal Procedure: Investigations. Simonson is Associate Professor of Law at Brooklyn Law School.

A. Benjamin SPENCER has been appointed Bennett Boskey Visiting Professor of Law for the 2019-2020 academic year. Spencer will teach a section of the course Civil Procedure for the Fall Term and the seminar Federal Civil Litigation and the course Federal Courts and the Federal System in the Spring Term. Spencer is Justice Thurgood Marshall Distinguished Professor of Law at the University of Virginia School of Law.

Michael Ashley STEIN has been appointed Visiting Professor of Law for the 2019-2020 academic year, and will teach the course Disability, Human Rights, and Development in the Fall Term. Stein is Executive Director of the Harvard Law School Project on Disability, and Extraordinary Professor at the University of Pretoria Faculty of Law.

David STRAUSS has been appointed Daniel P.S. Paul Visiting Professor of Constitutional Law for the Fall Term 2019 to teach the reading group What’s Next for the Supreme Court: Cases on the Docket, October Term 2019 and the course Constitutional Law: Separation of Powers, Federalism, and Fourteenth Amendment. Strauss is Gerald Ratner Distinguished Service Professor of Law at the University of Chicago Law School.

Daniel TARULLO has been appointed Visiting Professor of Law for the 2019-2020 academic year. Tarullo will teach the course Regulation of Financial Institutions and a first-year section of the course Legislation and Regulation in the Fall Term, as well as the course Regulation of International Finance in the Spring Term. Tarullo is a Professor of Law at the Georgetown University Law Center.

Jennifer TAUB has been appointed Bruce W. Nichols Visiting Professor of Law for the Fall Term 2019 to teach a section of the course Corporations and the reading group White Collar Crime and Public Corruption. Taub is Professor of Law at Vermont Law School.

George TRIANTIS has been appointed Sullivan & Cromwell Visiting Professor of Law for the Winter Term 2020 to teach the course Bankruptcy. Triantis is the Charles J. Meyers Professor of Law and Business at the Stanford Law School.

Sandra WACHTER has been appointed Visiting Associate Professor of Law for the Spring Term 2020. Wachter will teach the course When Technology Disrupts the Law, and the reading groups Explanations and fairness in Artificial Intelligence and Identity, autonomy and data protection in the age of Big Data and Artificial Intelligence. Wachter is Associate Professor and Senior Research Fellow at Oxford Internet Institute.

Bosiljevac will teach the courses Valuing and Modeling M&A and LBOs and Investments Workshop: Public and Private Equity. Bosiljevac also founded a London-based investment management and advisory firm that works with family offices and private companies.

Peter BRANN has been appointed Lecturer on Law for the 2019-2020 academic year to co-teach, with James Tierney, the course The Role of the State Attorney General in both the Fall and Spring Terms. Brann is a partner at Brann & Isaacson.

Sara BUDISH has been appointed Lecturer on Law for the 2019-2020 academic year. Peter CARFAGNA has been appointed Lecturer on Law for the 2019-2020 academic year. Rebecca Richman COHEN has been appointed Lecturer on Law for the 2019-2020 academic year. Cohen will teach the seminar Seeing Criminal Justice: Examining the Interplay of Visual Media, Storytelling and Criminal Law in the Fall Term, and the reading group Human Rights and Humanitarianism through the Lens of Documentary Film in the Spring Term. Cohen is the founder of Racing Horse Productions, a documentary film production company dedicated to the craft of telling stories that illuminate vital social issues.

Susan F. COLE has been appointed Lecturer on Law for the 2019-2020 academic year. Cole will teach the seminar Education Advocacy and Systemic Change in the Fall Term, and she will co-teach, with Professor Michael Gregory, the clinic Education Law Clinic: Legislative and Administrative Lawyering and the seminar Systemic Advocacy for Safe and Supportive Schools in the Spring Term. David COPE has been appointed Lecturer on Law for the 2019-2020 academic year. Cope is a consultant in the Boston area specializing in the application of qualitative methods to legal questions.

John J. CORRIGAN has been appointed Lecturer on Law for the 2019-2020 academic year. Corrigan will teach the Prosecution Clinical Seminar in the Fall and Winter Terms. Corrigan is an attorney in private practice in Boston specializing in criminal law and employment law, and a former Assistant District Attorney for Norfolk County, MA.

Kevin COSTELLO has been appointed Lecturer on Law for the Fall Term 2019, to co-teach, with Carmel Shachar, the seminar Health Care Rights in the Twenty-First Century. Costello is Litigation Director at the Harvard Law School Center for Health Law and Policy Innovation.

John C. CRATSLEY has been appointed Lecturer on Law for the 2019-2020 academic year. Cratsley will teach the clinical seminar Judicial Process in Trial Courts in the Spring Term. Cratsley is Arbitrator and Mediator at JAMS and Director of the Harvard Law School Judicial Process in Trial Courts Clinic.

Anna CROWE has been appointed Lecturer on Law for the 2019-2020 to teach the seminar Human Rights Advocacy. Crowe is Clinical Instructor at the Harvard International Human Rights Clinic.

Jack CUSHMAN has been appointed Lecturer on Law for the Spring Term 2020 to co-teach, with Adam Zeigler, the course Computer Programming for Lawyers. Cushman is a Fellow at the Berkman Klein Center for Internet and Society at Harvard University.

Jeffrey S. SUTTON has been appointed Lecturer on Law for the Winter Term 2020 to teach the course State Constitutional Law. Sutton is a United States Circuit Judge on the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.

Margaret E. TAHYAR has been appointed Bruce W. Nichols Lecturer on Law for the Spring Term 2020 to co-teach, with Professor Howell Jackson, the course FinTech. Tahyar is Partner at Davis Polk.

Daniel TAN has been appointed Lecturer on Law for the Winter Term 2020. Tan will co-teach, with Mark Beckett, the course International Commercial Arbitration. Tan is Principal of Dan Tan Law, a boutique international litigation and arbitration law firm based in New York.

Carlos TEUSCHER has been appointed Lecturer on Law for the 2019-2020 academic year to teach Community Lawyering and Public Interest Law Through a Transactional Lens – Worker Cooperatives in the Fall Term, as well as co-teach, with Professor Brian Price, in the Community Enterprise Project of the Transactional Law Clinics, Fall 2019 and Spring 2020. Teuscher is the Director of the Community Enterprise Project in the Harvard Law School Transactional Law Clinics.

James E. TIERNEY has been appointed Lecturer on Law for the 2019-2020 academic year. He will co-teach, with Peter Brann, the course The Role of the State Attorney General in the Fall and Spring Terms. Tierney will also teach the clinic Government Lawyer: Attorney General in the Fall, Winter, and Spring Terms. Tierney is Visiting Lecturer in Law at Yale Law School.

Susannah Barton TOBIN has been appointed Ezra Ripley Thayer Lecturer on Law for the 2019-2020 academic year. Tobin will teach the reading group Becoming a Law Professor in the Spring Term.
