We have one of the largest university police forces in the nation and a full-service student health care center. UF takes great pride in providing a caring campus culture - as part of our U Matter We Care commitment. Assistance for students in distress is available 7 days a week. On top of that, the UF Counseling and Wellness Center is available to listen and help 24/7. At UF Every Gator Counts. U Matter, We Care serves as UF’s umbrella program for UF’s caring culture and provides students in distress with support and coordination of the wide variety of appropriate resources. Families, faculty and students can contact umatter@ufl.edu seven days a week for assistance for students in distress.
As the primary provider of mental health services on campus, the Counseling & Wellness Center offers high quality counseling and psychiatric care as well as developmental and preventative services to UF students.
